Hello, Heartbeats! What a lovely week we have in the cards! For this reading, I used the Tarot of the Golden Wheel, the Moonology oracle cards, and The Wild Offering Oracle by Tosha Silver and Katie Daisy. Let’s connect… to the energies! 💞
The first card is the Hierophant, the one who bridges heaven and earth through religion and tradition. In this beautiful deck inspired by Slavic folklore, the Hierophant is depicted as being the split image of God. You find him in the heart of nature, his arms wide open, channeling/embodying the Divine.
In the context of these uncertain troubled times we’re all trying to navigate to the best of our capacities, the Hierophant represents the wisdom of timeless values, the fundamental values of a balanced society.
What card follows? The beautiful Three of Cups – coming together, celebrating, sharing joy and the fruit of our labor. What is society if not people coming together? And what is the best energy for gathering if not that of joy and celebration!
The last year gave us reasons and plenty of time to think about individuality and community. The limitations and restrictions revealed that there’s a vital difference between choosing to stay away from people and being demanded to. There was a lot of talk about unity… and division. All around the world we have almost desperately tried to bridge the physical disconnect online, because we derive a lot of meaning from our interactions. The meaning of life and even our own meaning are – to a higher or lesser degree – tied to our relationships.
In this reading, the Hierophant is reminding us that, although traditions have many rules that sometimes may feel unpleasant and oppressive, their goal is to ultimately bring people together in harmony, time and time again. This week, you don’t need a special event to celebrate. You can simply celebrate your relationship(s), enjoying the connection, praising the communion. And don’t worry, it’s perfectly fine if you just connect via video call.
The Six of Wands is the card of victory and success, especially after battle, but next to the rest of the cards, its message is a bit nuanced. When people cease fighting, throw away the weapons, and decide to focus on what they do have in common, that is when we have true success. Peace is true victory; sharing joy and well being unites us. So, tune into your tribe, people you share values and interests with. 😊
Although the Hierophant represents tradition and conformity, it is also the fifth card of the Major Arcana, five being the number of change in numerology. Additionally, we have the New Moon Eclipse as an advice card, and it says “expect powerful change”. Next to it, there’s the Relationship card from The Wild Offering Oracle, and it says:
“I call in the infinite power of Love to take over this union in every way. May it now fully belong to the Divine. Let it unfold in the perfect way for each of us. I needn’t fear letting go of control; my needs are always abundantly met.”
The message is basically to just enjoy connecting to other people, trusting that relationships sort themselves out. Some people are in our lives only for a season – it’s okay. Others resonate with us longer – great. With others we have intermittences – that’s fine too. Remember that at the core of all those relationships there’s one person – you.
In conclusion, loosen up for a change, just enjoy life with other people, come together (even if not in person), celebrate (anything, most of all the fact of simply being alive and together), and everybody will benefit. Because everybody needs and wants connection; we avoid it only when it is unpleasant.
So, keep it pleasant, and keep up to the rhythm of love! 😘
